NSW Irrigators’ Council are in search of a Chief Executive Officer to join us and uphold sustainable and productive management of our state’s water resources.

Duties & responsibilities:

• Strive to maintain the relevance and value of NSWIC to members
• Contribute to and positively influence the NSW and national water and irrigation agenda
• Work with our Board of Directors to meet objectives set out in Strategic and Annual Operating Plans
• Lead proactive relations with members, stakeholder, and sponsors
• Recruit, manage, and develop a highly skilled team of staff
• Deliver efficient and effective financial and resource management

Experience & attributes:

• Strong track record of delivering tangible outcomes in complex political and policy operating environment
• Experience collaborating with a Board of Directors on meeting robust budgetary and corporate governance obligations
• Capacity to provide quality support, services and advice to member organisations within the Irrigation industry sector
• Stakeholder engagement experience, including with federal, state & local governments, agencies, and private sector entities
• Experience in sponsor relationships and recruitment
• Ability to create and lead positive small work teams
