Any not for profit organisation in Australia that can address the 10 criteria can apply for the award. 

The Associations Excellence Award™ is a prestigious recognition given to associations or professional organizations that have demonstrated exceptional achievements, innovation, and excellence in their respective fields.

The Associations Excellence Award criteria was  based on the Australian Quality Awards criteria which was the foundation of recognition of business excellence. AES Executive Director Nick Koerbin developed the criteria in 2012 so it could be adapted to Associations and over 750 Associations Leaders have benchmarked their organisations performance against the ten criteria.  

The specific supporting documentation required may vary, but commonly requested materials include annual reports, financial statements, case studies, testimonials, media coverage, or any other evidence that showcases your association's achievements and impact. The judges are keen to view any qualitative or quantitative evidence that is supporting your submission. 

 There is no application fee 

The winners of the Associations Excellence Award™ are selected through a judging process by a panel of experienced association leaders. The judges will review the submissions against the 10 criteria and will be looking for evidence and outcomes. 

The award will be announced on Thursday the 14th of September at the AES Breakthrough to Excellence Annual Conference  Networking Drinks  

Winning the Associations Excellence Award™  AES will promote the winner as an organisation demonstrating business excellence which include interview and articles promoting the association plus the 2023 Associations Exellence Award Trophy.  

After winning the Associations Excellence Award™, you can promote your association's success by leveraging social media, issuing press releases, updating your website and promotional materials, sharing the news with your members and stakeholders, and engaging in industry events and conferences to highlight your achievements.  AES will provide the Awards logo for your use as a winner.
