Most associations have started experimenting with AI. It might be used to draft an email, summarise a document, develop ideas or help create
content. But for many organisations, AI use is still ad hoc — different people are using different tools in different ways, and the quality
of the results can vary considerably.
This practical session is designed to help association professionals move beyond simply copying and pasting a request into an AI tool and hoping for a useful response.
You’ll learn how to use AI more deliberately, so the results are more relevant, more consistent and better reflect your organisation. You’ll see how relatively small changes in the way you work with AI — such as providing better context, being clearer about the outcome you need and building more effective everyday habits — can make a significant difference.
The session will also explore practical ways AI can support everyday association work, while considering important issues such as privacy, accuracy, appropriate oversight and knowing when human judgement is essential.
You don’t need to be an AI expert or have a formal AI strategy in place. This session is for association professionals who have already started using AI and are ready to take the next step.

Those who are who are already using AI tools such as ChatGPT but want to move beyond basic, one-off use and get more consistent and useful results. No advanced technical or AI knowledge is required.
Tania Carcenac is the founder of AI With Intent, based in Perth, and specialises in bridging the gap between learning about AI and actually putting it to work.
Many of the people Tania works with have already started experimenting with AI but find their use is still scattered or not delivering the results they expected. Through AI audits, workshops, training and tailored AI setups, she helps organisations build a practical foundation that makes AI a useful part of everyday work.
Before moving into AI, Tania spent several years as a life coach, bringing a strong people-focused perspective to her work. Her approach is centred on using AI deliberately to save time and free people to focus on the areas where they add the greatest value — relationships, creativity and the work that reflects an organisation’s values.
Attendance at AES events is limited to employees and Board members of not-for-profit organisations.
