Facilitated by Nick Koerbin, Executive Director, Association Executive Services, the workshop draws on more than 30 years of experience helping associations across Australia and New Zealand review, select and implement new technology platforms.

His advice comes from hands-on experience leading website, CRM and AMS projects from planning through to implementation. He understands where projects succeed, where they stall, and where organisations lose control of budget, scope or timelines—because he's been there.

This isn't an IT workshop. It isn't a vendor demonstration.

It's the workshop for the person responsible for making the decision.

Over two practical hours, you'll gain the knowledge, tools and confidence to define what "right" looks like for your organisation—before you commit to a platform or sign a contract.

What we'll cover

  • Know when to move. Recognise the signs you've outgrown your current platform and decide whether to improve what you have or invest in something new.
  • Understand the real cost. Build a realistic budget that accounts for the hidden costs and helps you make the business case to your Board.
  • Scope before you shop. Develop a requirements document that sets clear expectations, reduces risk and keeps vendors accountable.
  • Separate great demos from great solutions. Learn how to evaluate vendors, ask the right questions and identify genuine capability.
  • Plan for a successful implementation. Understand the project planning, resourcing, testing, training and support needed to achieve a smooth transition.

You'll leave with a practical roadmap, greater confidence, and a clear action plan for selecting and implementing the right website, CRM or AMS for your organisation.
