ClubsACT is the peak industry association representing the ACT club sector. As a not-for-profit organisation, we support our members, strengthen community connections, and advocate for a sustainable and vibrant clubs industry.

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Administrative Officer to join our small, collaborative team in a part-time capacity, with genuine flexibility in how hours are worked.

About the Role

This is a permanent part-time role (approx. 16 hours per week) with flexibility to structure your work pattern (excluding Wednesdays), and capacity for additional hours by agreement.

This role is ideal for someone looking for long-term, stable employment in a supportive and purpose-driven environment.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our events, member engagement, and operational administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support delivery of ClubsACT events
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members, partners, and stakeholders
  • Maintain and update member and corporate partner databases
  • Assist with event planning, budgeting, and reporting
  • Support delivery of corporate partner commitments
  • Provide administrative support to the CEO, Operations Manager, and Board
  • Contribute to internal reporting and board papers
  • Help improve systems, processes, and standard operating procedures

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Has excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Enjoys working in a small team and contributing broadly
  • Is reliable and committed to building a long-term role within the organisation
  • Can manage multiple priorities with a proactive approach

Highly regarded:

  • Experience or exposure to the hospitality, clubs, events, or member-based sectors
  • Previous administrative or events coordination experience
  • Experience working in a not-for-profit or membership-based organisation

Employment Details

  • Location: Barton, ACT (with occasional ACT-wide activities)
  • Hours: Approx. 16 hours per week (flexible work patterns available)
  • Award: Clerks – Private Sector Award 2020
  • Employment Type: Permanent part-time
  • Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident with valid work authorisation
