The Position
The Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) is seeking a visionary and contemporary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organisation into its next chapter of growth and influence. The REIV plays a vital role in protecting and expanding members’ interests across a broad range of areas. Going forward, amid an acute housing and rental affordability crisis as well as new reforms that are about to come into effect across the sector, it is the solid array of REIV services, information and resources that will provide the Victorian community with the best possible real estate service and ensure consumer faith in the profession.
Reporting to a Board of industry leaders and Independent Directors, the CEO will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, enhancing member engagement and strengthening the REIV’s position as a trusted voice in the real estate sector in Victoria. Key elements of the role include proactively identifying, assessing and driving growth opportunities, fostering a high-performing environment and contributing to a new strategic plan. Beyond conceiving strategies and initiatives, the new CEO will be required to lead with a hands-on approach and actively drive and support implementation.
To be considered for this role, you will be an experienced CEO who has at some stage of your career worked in the broad realm of real estate
or adjacent industries. Equipped with a well-developed appreciation of member-based organisations, you will have a record of delivering
demonstrable impact in organisational performance and will be recognised as someone who has superior stakeholder management, communication
and advocacy skills. Highly commercial and comfortable leaning into innovation, you will be media savvy and able to navigate industry
dynamics at all levels with confidence and diplomacy. Known for being an excellent listener and collaborator, you will be the sort of leader
who inspires teams and cultivates excellence across an organisation.
